Self-Esteem and Building Confidence
This is a 2 to 3 hour workshop.
Self-esteem and building confidence is designed for school students and adult learners who engage in Community Service programs and are working towards entering or re-entering the workforce.
Some course content is of a sensitive nature and is delivered in a professional manner. The course is designed to assist learners to recognise their positive attributes and contributions to a small group setting. The content of the workshop discusses how a healthy Self-Esteem will help us to reach our full potential. There is some discussion on how a poor self-esteem can sometimes reflect negative thoughts and experiences whereby changed thinking and positive self-talk and belief in themselves can lead to positive attitudes and improved life experience outcomes. Learners are provided with the opportunity to express opinions, their needs, choices and preferences in a way that respects the rights and needs of other people in the immediate social group.
Self-talk strategies are implemented to raise individual self-esteem, enabling a more positive outlook and increased confidence to take up the opportunities that may come our way in our life and work.
